Selectively antagonizes histamine H1 receptors, suppressing allergic reactions. As a second-generation antihistamine, it has limited blood-brain barrier penetration, resulting in reduced sedation.

Contraindications

本剤の成分またはピペラジン誘導体に対し過敏症の既往歴のある患者。重度の腎障害のある患者（用量調整必要）。
